Yes, Cameron was seen with absolutely no hair on her head on the set of “My Sister’s Keeper” yesterday. And no, she didn’t shave it for real, it was just a bald cap. However it did look quite genuine and I can’t wait to see this movie. More photos from the set are coming soon!
The following quote is from the author of the book “My Sister’s Keeper”, Jodi Picoult, from when she visited the movie-set last week. It seems to be a very good version of the already loved book.
“During a brief visit to the LA set last week I had the pleasure of meeting many of the actors, and watching them work. Cameron Diaz and Jason Patric are brilliantly portraying Sara and Brian Fitzgerald - you’re going to be very impressed. As for the Anna and Kate’s characters, Abigail Breslin and Sofia Vassilieva are such remarkable little actresses that they literally had the entire crew in tears during one particularly emotional scene - an assistant was handing out Kleenex! Kudos to Nick Cassavetes, the very gifted director who is working all this magic. I will be going back to the set soon, meeting the rest of the actors (including Joan Cusack and Alec Baldwin) and will post more about my second visit - I can’t wait!”
I’ve added lots of new photos from the set of the upcoming drama “My Sister’s Keeper”. The movie’s starring Cameron Diaz, Abigail Breslin, Alec Baldwin, Sofia Vassilieva and Jason Patric, and centers around a former defense attorney who returns to the courtroom to defend herself and her husband when they are sued by their 13-year-old daughter for emancipation. The girl was conceived as a genetic match with the hope she could prolong her cancer-ridden sister’s life. Personally, I can’t wait to see Cameron in this kind of movie!
According to Hollywood Reporter, Jason Patric will play Cameron Diaz’s husband in the family drama “My Sister’s Keeper,” which Nick Cassavetes is shooting in Los Angeles.
Based on Jodi Picoult’s novel, the New Line project follows a former district attorney (Diaz) and her fireman husband (Patric) who are sued by their 13-year-old daughter (Abigail Breslin) for emancipation.
The daughter was conceived and underwent several operations to help save her ill older sister (Sofia Vassilieva). Alec Baldwin, Joan Cusack and Thomas Dekker also star.
Cameron’s busy widening her range of movies with the upcoming drama “My Sister’s Keeper” which now has started filming! She’ll play the role of Sara Fitzgerald, a former defense attorney who returns to the courtroom to defend herself and her husband when they are sued by their 13-year-old daughter for emancipation. The girl was conceived as a genetic match with the hope she could prolong her cancer-ridden sister’s life. The movie sounds really interesting and it’ll be great to see Cameron in this kind of movie! Click on the preview to the right to see the 2 6 photos from the set. She looks fantastic in long locks and a gray jacket and skirt. Once again, thanks to CD Fan for keeping me updated (especially as I experienced a power blackout earlier tonight).
If one sister goes the other follows and that appears to be the deal as Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning have departed the Nick Cassavetes film My Sister’s Keeper as sources say Dakota Fanning balked at a request that she shave her head for the role and both sisters withdrew abruptly.
Elle was replaced by superstar Abigail Breslin and Dakota was replaced by Sofia Vassilieva who is best known for playing Ariel Dubois on “Medium” and is apparently willing to shave her blonde locks.
Also starring in the film are Cameron Diaz, Alec Baldwin and Joan Cusack. The drama was adapted from the Jodi Picoult novel by Jeremy Leven and Diaz will play a former defense attorney who returns to the courtroom to defend herself and her husband when they are sued by their 13-year-old daughter (Breslin) for emancipation. The girl was conceived as a genetic match with the hope she could prolong her cancer-ridden sister’s (Vassilieva) life.
The pic is set up at New Line and production is still on track for March.
According to Variety.com Alec Baldwin will join Cameron Diaz, Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning in “My Sister’s Keeper”, the Nick Cassavetes-directed adaptation of the Jodi Picoult novel for New Line Cinema.
Baldwin will play the attorney who represents a child (Elle Fanning) after she sues her parents for emancipation on the grounds they bred her to be a genetic match who could prolong the life of her cancer-ridden sister (Dakota Fanning). The girl’s mother (Diaz) is a former trial lawyer and represents herself in court.
Mark Johnson is producing. Jeremy Leven wrote the script; production begins in February.
